A Chippendale style chest on chest of drawers by Councill Craftsmen. Mahogany with brass hardware, mitre edge to top, crown & dentil moulding with carved blind fretwork frieze, banded drawer fronts, decorative carved blind fretwork to canted corners of upper front sides, ogee edge dividing chests, and ogee bracket feet. Features three smaller over three larger drawers in the upper section and three large drawers in the lower section, all of dovetail construction. The six larger drawers have faux keyhole escutcheons. Made in Denton, North Carolina, USA, in the late 20th Century.
