A Traditional style double pedestal executive desk by Councill Business Furniture. Walnut and burl walnut, banded top, brass hardware, banded drawer fronts & panels, and solid pedestal bases. The user side of the desk features seven drawers of dovetail construction, including one longer center drawer with wood pen/pencil holder & is lockable, flanked by two smaller top drawers, two slightly larger middle drawers with removable dividers, and two deeper bottom file drawers with adjustable/removal dividers for either letter or legal files. The guest side of the desk is panel finished to be visible and has a large pull-out writing slide. At both sides of the desk are brass slots under the top for running electrical cords. Includes one key. Made in the USA, in the late 20th Century.
