A Traditional style petite secretary desk by Hekman. Solid mahogany with yew wood banding, brass hardware, crown moulding at top, tapered straight legs, and spade feet. Upper cabinet has beveled glass doors & side panels, is lighted, mirrored back, two adjustable plate grooved glass shelves, and felt lined bottom. Lower base features two dovetail drawers below a roll-top desk. The desk area has a slide out embossed leather writing surface, four cubbies and a small drawer. Made in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, in the late 20th Century.
