A Chippendale style armchair by Maitland Smith. Solid mahogany with decoratively carved crest rail & backrest, curved carved arms with paw-like hand rests, decorative beading details to stiles, apron & legs, straight front legs and stretchers. Seat is upholstered in a salmon, yellow & gold colored stripe pattern fabric. Hand made in the Philippines, in the late 20th Century.
