An American Empire king size sleigh bed by Thomasville. Mahogany and flame mahogany headboard, footboard, and side rails. Inset flame mahogany panels to the headboard & footboard, decorative floral carvings to the sides of the scroll, and decoratively carved ogee bracket feet. Side rails have fluted tops with wood bracers and are attached to headboard & footboard by metal clips. Three adjustable metal slats are provided for mattress support. Made in North Carolina, USA, in the late 20th Century.
