A George II style bombe commode chest by Baker Furniture, from their Stately Homes Collection. Walnut with slightly distressed finish, inlays, moulded rectangular top inlaid with cross-banded borders & chequer pattern bands, graduated bombe shape, plain moulded plinth, and on bear's paw feet carved with laurel leaves in relief. Features two short over four long drawers similarly inlaid & moulded, fitted with brass hardware and faux keyhole escutcheons. Made in North Carolina, USA, in the late 20th Century.
